MANDURAH EXCITED TO HOST THE 2021 ACTION SPORTS GAMES
The Action Sports Games (ASG) presented by Drug Aware, is set to return to the amazing waterways of Mandurah, Western Australia.

The Action Sports Games will combine wakeboarding, freestyle motocross, skateboarding, BMX and scooter events into an action-packed weekend of extreme sports. The event will attract some of Australia’s best action sports stars to Mandurah to compete for a whopping $20,000 in cash and prizes.

The City of Mandurah can boast amazing beaches and an array of beautiful pristine inland waterways that are teeming with wildlife. With a vibrant city lifestyle, fine restaurants, plenty of accommodation and so many things to see and do, Mandurah is the perfect setting for major sporting events, such as the Action Sports Games
 
The wakeboarding competition will be held on Manjar Bay and possible easing of COVID-19 border restrictions, many world class wakeboarders have indicated that their desire to return to Mandurah to compete.

The weather conditions in April are generally perfect and many of the world’s best wakeboard, freestyle motocross, skateboard, BMX and scooter riders, who will be set to call Mandurah home for the two-day weekend event.
 
“We are very fortunate to have access to funding from the Tourism WA Regional Events Scheme, Drug Aware through Healthway and the City of Mandurah to keep this awesome event on track. I am really happy that we’ll be back on the western foreshore and thrilled to be back in Mandurah as it is the perfect location for the Action Sports Games” said ASG Event Director Tim Thirsk.

On Saturday 10 of April, the newly redeveloped and new world class Mandurah Skate Park will host a major skateboard, BMX and scooter competition with hundreds of competitors from all over WA converging to compete for over $5000 in cash and prizes.

On Sunday 11 April, Manjar Bay will come alive with the freestyle motocross exhibition along with the national wakeboard tournament, the Summer Food Truck Festival and DJ’s keeping the good times rolling all day long. 

The Action Sports Games is a free event, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the event.

Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams said, “he was excited that a high calibre event such as the Action Sports Games come back to Mandurah”. Mr Williams also said “Events that bring such a diverse mix of sports and activities to our City are important for the social and economic fabric of our community,”.

This major event is set to become one of the richest wakeboarding events in Australia, attracting a top field of world class talent, fantastic media exposure and an excellent way in which to promote the vibrancy of the City of Mandurah.
