March 16 and 17 will see some of Australia’s best BMX and skateboard professionals go head to head to win their share in $20,000 in prize money.

The Mambo skate and BMX park will become the centre of action when BMX riders and skateboarders compete at one of Australia’s largest professional multi action sports competitions.

Set to compete at this year’s event is one of the world’s youngest BMX professional riders, Alex Hiam. Hiam has been riding professional since he was 13 and now at 17 he continues to make his mark both nationally and internationally.

Some of Perth’s best pro riders will be there, with Warren Bowers, Dylan Schmidt, Jacon De Abreu to show off their moves and local knowledge of the skatepark and vert ramp (portable half pipe).

Mambo’s twin truck skate ambassador from Sydney, Brad McDermott will be going all out against pro skaters Kieran Reilly from Port Macquarie and Jack Duncombe from Melbourne. These world-class skaters will also take on Phillip Marshall and Barry Mansfield and a list of other Perth’s top skaters.

Local shredder Joe Fleming will also be there to defend his current title on the vert ramp.

There will also be a competition on the Saturday morning for beginners in BMX and the scooter class.

Australia’s buggest Action Sports event will also include the Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) World Cup with more than 150 of the world’s waterskiing and wakeboarding stars from 24 countries working their way through the competition to share in the $300,000 prize pool up for grabs.

The   Action Sports Games coincides with the annual Channel Seven Crab Fest, adding more vibrancy and excitement to the City of Mandurah.

Tourism Western Australia and the Department of Regional Development and Lands are proud to support the   Action Sports Games Mandurah through the Royalties for Regions – Regional Events Program, which is administrated by Eventscorp.
